The Texas nurse who was infected with Ebola while caring for a patient who has since died has been identified as 26-year-old Nina Pham, according to reports Monday.
Pham’s family confirmed her identity and released a photo of her posing with her pet dog, according to USA Today.
Pham graduated from Texas Christian University in 2010, the newspaper said on its website.
Pham is the first person to contract the deadly virus inside the United States.
The CDC has blamed a “breach in protocol” at the Dallas hospital where Liberian national Thomas Eric Duncan was treated for Pham’s infection.
