Amber Alert Issued For Rocky Mount Missing Girl

ROCKY MOUNT, NORTH CAROLINA – A statewide Amber Alert was issued early Tuesday for a missing 2-year-old girl who authorities say was abducted from a home in Rocky Mount.

Authorities say Nevaeh Richardson was taken from a home at 731 Nashville Road by a bald African American man who was wearing a white T-shirt. Rocky Mount police said Richardson was asleep in the back seat of her mother’s car when it was stolen.

The Amber Alert was issued at about 2 a.m.

Nevaeh is 2 feet tall and weighs about 28 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes, and she was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with a rainbow on the front, authorities said.

The alleged abductor could be traveling in a green 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor with North Carolina license tag PCD-9688. The SUV has a spare left front tire and a “Live, Love, Laugh” sticker on the back, authorities said.
