George Clooney let the cat out of the bag on where he and fiancée Amal Alamuddin will get married.
“I met my lovely bride-to-be in Italy (and) will be marrying (her) in a couple of weeks, in Venice,” Clooney, 53, said Sunday at a black-tie event in Tuscany, where the human rights lawyer Alamuddin, 36, wore a strapless black satin gown.
The couple has been dating since last September after meeting at a charity event in romantic Venice. The surprise disclosure comes after his rumored best man Pitt, 50,and Angelina Jolie pulled off a secret Aug. 23 wedding at their home in France.
Clooney owns a home on Lake Como, Italy, and there had been wide-spread speculation that he and Alamuddin would marry there.
When the couple attained their marriage license in early August from Chelsea Town Hall in London, they announced they planned to marry in Italy, but did not say where.
It will be the first wedding for Alamuddin but the second for Clooney, who was previously married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989-1993.
