Liverpool take on local rivals Everton for the first Premier League game back since the international break today, and the sharp-eyed camera crew at Sky Sports spotted film star and famed Reds fan Daniel Craig among the crowd at Anfield.
And the 007 actor could even be seen lending his voice to Liverpool’s anthem ‘You Never Walk Alone’.
The star was joined by Liverpool greats Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush in the Kop end, as the crowd paid tribute to club legend Ronnie Moran, who passed away at the age of 83 last week, with a minutes’ applause in his honour.
We’re expecting the Sky cameras to focus on Craig a few more times, although we’re hoping to catch some of the action on the pitch too, with both Liverpool and Everton hoping to secure a vital three points today.
Liverpool are hoping to cement their bid for Champions League qualification for next season by finishing in the top four, whilst Everton will be hoping to keep the pressure on Manchester United around the top six.
Everton have made plenty of headlines coming into this game by fielding an exciting and youthful side, including youngsters Tom Davies and Matty Pennington.
And whilst all eyes were on a certain fictional secret agent, Everton will be hoping their own highly skilled marksman Romelu Lukaku can come up with the goods in front of goal today.
