Daniel Craig, the new James Bond posed for photographs with Bond girl Léa Seydoux in some rather fetching skiwear at the Soelden resort in Austria. Former wrestler Dave “Batista” Bautista, the next villain going head-to-head with Ian Fleming’s spy, was also there for the photocall.
Filming for Sam Mendes’ second Bond film began in December when Craig was spotted careering down London’s River Thames in a speed boat alongside Rory Kinnear (MI6 chief of staff, Bill Tanner).
Spectre follows Mendes’ Skyfall which became the most commercially successful Bond film in the franchise’s 50 year history, grossing over $1000 million worldwide.
The first details of the latest film were revealed in a live announcement from Pinewood Studios in December. Mendes said: “Those of you who have some knowledge of the Bond franchise and the legend of Bond will probably have some idea what [Spectre] refers to, but I couldn’t possibly comment.”
