Take a peek at Tatyana Ali‘s own little fresh prince!
The singer, actress and former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Instagrammed the first photo of her son Edward Aszard Rasberry today. “Spending my days learning how to keep up with this little pumpkin,” she wrote. “Happy Halloween Everybody!!!”
Edward, who was born on Sept. 16, is the first child for Tatyana and her husband, Dr. Vaughn Rasberry. “We’re completely swooning over this kid,” wrote the proud mom in her People Babies blog.
“When I kiss him in his sleep, soundly in REM, dreaming his baby dreams, he smiles and my heart explodes out of my body and into all of the space surrounding us,” she gushed.
Tatyana recalls seeing her son “move like a flash dancer” during her first ultrasound. “He made everyone in the room laugh out loud, including our doctor and technician,” she wrote. “I guessed then my child would be spirited. Ali and Rasberry, an assistant professor at Stanford University, married in July after nearly two years of dating. The actress gave birth to Edward on Sept. 16 after announcing in March that she was expecting.
“There are so many things I want to show him,” Ali wrote in a blog post for People on Monday. “Then I remember to slow down. Time moves quickly on its own; no need for me to push it along.”

“When he sleeps, he leans his chin on his fist, like a tiny thinker. His father does the same. It’s uncanny,” she revealed. “And he changes every day. One moment he looks like his father, the next me, the next a grandparent.”
“My prayers for him imbue every breath I take,” the star said. “I see eternity in his sable brown eyes — the blood and promise of generations past and all our hope for the future.”
Ali came to fame as Ashley Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She has since portrayed Roxanne on The Young and the Restless, and released the EP Hello in 2014.
