Carol Rossetti’s series of colorful illustrations highlight the various challenges faced by women in our world today. They also serve as uplifting reminders about the various privileges that we have ignored or overlooked. The message of Rossetti’s art carry is very clear. Above all, her images celebrate being true to oneself, respecting others and questioning what society tells us is acceptable, right or beautiful.
In Rossetti’s own words, “I can’t change the world by myself, But I’d love to know that my work made people review their privileges and be more open to understanding and respecting one another.”
