Desiigner was arrested Thursday night in New York in a driving rage incident that led to drug crime and weapons charges, According to TMZ.
Desiigner was arrested last night in New York on firearms and drug costs after a raging conflict driving. A spokesman for the Department of the New York police confirmed to Pitchfork that Desiigner (real name: Sidney Royel Selby III) was charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
He was also accused threatening, according to police spokesman for threatening another driver with a gun. Desiigner was arrested with four other people who were in the car with him. They were still in custody this morning, according to the spokesman.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the people in the SUV and the driver of another vehicle started yelling at each other. The driver of the other car called 911 and claimed Desiigner pointed a gun at him. The left SUV, but the driver of the car took the license plate number.
Cops found the SUV later, sought and found a large amount of loose pills in the center console. Our sources of law enforcement say they have found Oxycontin and other drugs.
Desiigner and 4 others in the SUV were arrested. All five were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of drugs with intent to sell, which are crimes.
Desiigner was also charged with criminal possession of a loaded gun crime and threatening (which is for allegedly pointing a gun at the other driver).
All five are still in custody.
