Foxwoods Resort Casino Patron Shot By Police

A pattern of armed casino was shot to death by a tribal police, Connecticut authorities said Tuesday. It happened during a confrontation in a parking garage at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

The shooting occurred about 11:30 am Tuesday in the parking garage Fox Tower in Mashantucket resort.

State police said there was an outstanding arrest warrant for the pattern.

Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Police confronted the pattern in the garage, where police said the pattern produced a weapon, and shots were fired. The pattern was killed.

There were no reports of other injuries.

Unit Police Major Crimes State of Connecticut is investigating the shooting. No other details were immediately released.

It tom Thibeault Saratoga Springs, New York, was attending a convention at the property with his wife on Tuesday. When sections of the casino were the blockade, which was outside while his wife was inside.

“When everything went crazy inside,” he said, “shut the doors and not let her leave the room in particular that he was. She called me and said there was an emergency, so we came back here, and obviously , the road was blocked, so I could not get in. ”

Arthur Redding Hudson, MA was in the same convention. “I mean it’s heartbreaking,” he said. “We basically told anything. We felt safe, but we see this in the news all the time these days. You have to be careful.”

“You had no idea what was going on outside, so it was a little scary not knowing,” said his wife, Dawna Redding. “We definitely should have said more.”

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation owns and operates the casino.
