Research published Monday reveals that Android devices can be hacked simply by receiving a picture text message ,reports CNN Money. Currently the problem affects about 95% of Androids in use.
The flaw stems from how the Android system analyzes incoming texts. Prior to even opening the message, Android devices automatically evaluate media files. So, any media message containing malware instantaneously permeates the phone.
Android has attempted to push out an update, but it isn’t clear when that update will become available.
