The festive fixture pile-up leaves footballers with little free time on their hands around this time of this year, so much so that Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard has clearly neglected to clean his car of late.
The England international, who turned 24 on Thursday, was pictured getting into his very dirty Range Rover Sport SVR after going for breakfast to his local cafe in Altrincham with two friends.
Lingard, who featured briefly in United’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday, looked in high spirits as he celebrated his birthday.
Maybe as a birthday treat for himself, Lingard could take his matt black Range Rover to the nearest car wash quickly.
His appearance in Altrincham on Thursday followed United’s late away victory over Alan Pardew’s struggling Eagles in the Premier League at Selhurst Park.
Lingard only played 20 minutes in south London as goals from Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic ensured Jose Mourinho’s side picked up their second straight Premier League victory.
Lingard has seen his playing time limited under Portuguese boss Mourinho this season, featuring only eight times in the league so far.
After 16 games, Lingard and his United team-mates sit sixth in the table with 27 points, three behind Tottenham and six behind rivals Manchester City in fourth place.
United next come up against Tony Pulis’ in form West Brom outfit on Saturday evening. The Baggies will fancy their chances against United after winning four of their last six league matches.
