Kimberley Walsh Give Baby Boy And Announces Unusual Name

The former Girls Aloud singer, 34, and her musician husband Justin Scott, 34, announced their second child’s moniker via the star’s Twitter page on Friday.

Kimberley wrote: ‘Bobby’s baby brother has a name! Cole Jacob Scott and we are all in love! #myboys.’

The name is likely to resonate with the star’s best friend and bridesmaid Cheryl, 33, who is pregnant with her first child with One Direction hunk Liam Payne, 23.

Cole was Cheryl’s surname when she was married to first husband, footballer Ashley Cole, between 2006 and 2010.

The couple split acrimoniously amid multiple allegations of cheating on his part.

Cheryl tied the knot with French businessman Jean-Bernard Fernadez-Versini on the island of Mustique in July 2014 – but the pair split just 18 months later in October 2015.

Kimberley and Justin – who are also proud parents to son Bobby, two, announced the arrival of their second child on Wednesday.

She wrote on her Twitter page: ‘We have another beautiful baby boy couldn’t be happier’.

Earlier this week, the Sound Of The Underground hitmaker shared a sweet snap of herself cradling her baby bump, embracing the festive spirit in a Santa hat.

‘Getting excited to meet this little one! #christmasbaby #ifonlysantacouldpopitdownthechimney’, she captioned the image.

Kimberley announced she was pregnant in June, telling Hello! magazine: ‘Before I had even taken a test, I knew it instinctively.’

The pair welcomed their first son, Bobby, in September 2014.

Kimberley and Triple 8 band member Justin have been together for 14 years, and exchanged vows at St James Parish Church in Barbados in January 2016.

The singer previously admitted the first stage of her pregnancy was not plain sailing.

Chatting to OK! magazine, the star admitted: ‘The first few months were tough with sickness and tiredness.’

Kimberley also insisted the couple did not have a preference over the baby’s sex, but they just wanted the child to be healthy.

She said: ‘ I think it would be lovely for Bobby to have a little brother so close in age but I’d also love to have a daughter, so I can’t really lose.’

Kimberley recently opened up about her experience of motherhood in an interview with MailOnline’s FEMAIL.

Recalling the first few weeks with her newborn, Bobby, Kimberley candidly said: ‘The first two weeks fazed me a little.

‘You can’t quite get your head around the intensity of those first few weeks, when it’s literally just you and them and every minute of every day is just living to keep them alive.

‘I wasn’t going to try and keep up appearances or try and do anything, I was like I’m going to hibernate, I’m going to learn… and I’m just going to live every hour as it comes. That really helped me get through those first few weeks.’

Kimberley also admitted there’s no ‘off switch’ 24/7 and that welcoming a child changes your life – but ‘in a good way, of course.’

In preparation for her first baby, who’s now two, Kimberley explained that she didn’t read too much about things or obsess over opinions of how you should parent because, she says, every child is different.
