Snoop Dog who in recent times has chosen to be called Snoop Lion, threw his son, Cordell Broadus, a huge birthday party with a Coming To America—Zamunda theme that was fit for a king.
According to the latest reports by celebrity gossip website, TMZ, Snoop Dogg wanted to recreate the dance scene from the Eddie Murphy movie for his son’s 18th birthday—and he did it to a tee.
In the video published by TMZ, Snoop’s son is dressed like a king sitting on his mighty thrown as his parents stand proudly behind him. As the music thumps and the women shake their hips, his son, Cordell, sits there as if he is patiently awaiting the arrival of a beautiful woman to make her presence. It’s an almost exact copy of the dramatic scene in the Coming To America movie.

Anyone who watched the movie remembers the dance scene in particular. The music and the dancers were hot, the moves and the gyrations were seductive, and the hilarious vocals added just the right layer of drama and comedy.
Snoop isn’t the first to do this. The Coming To America dance scene has been recreated and making its presence in weddings and wedding receptions all around the country for the last two decades.
Kandi Burruss, of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, recently added aspects of the Coming To America dance scene to her wedding. She stated that it was more than just recreating the dance scene. For her, it was more about making a connection with Africa.
