After teasing the video on Instagram the past three days, Taylor Swift debuted the music video for her latest single on Good Morning America on Friday (the 13th – the singer’s favorite number).
The title of the song is a direct allusion to her ex, One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles, as Swift coyly confirmed in a Rolling Stone cover story: “We should have just called it ‘I’m Not Even Sorry,’ ” she said.
The video finds the Taylor Swift sporting her trademark “red lip, classic thing that you like” look while walking barefoot through a forest and cozying up to a shirtless hunk (that isn’t Styles) in a lightning storm in between some artsy shots of Swift disappearing into puffs of smoke and waves crashing on a picturesque beach.
“Style” is the third single off Swift’s record-breaking fifth album 1989 , following the massive success of Grammy-nominated “Shake It Off” and “Blank Space.
