This Photoseries Captures Rockers Before and After They Go on Stage

This series of photographs compares the suave composure of contemporary musicians before going on stage to their manic appearance directly after a performance. Created by music photographer Brandon Andersen, the series entitled Before/After depicts seven different musicians from a range of hardcore metal bands such as Every time I Die and Vanna.

From sweat-drenched hair that had previously been in an effortlessly cool style to a rabbit-in-headlights stare in the place of designer sunglasses, these rockers clearly expend massive amounts of energy (both mentally and physically) on stage. They might be cool before they start playing, but by the time they finish they’re undoubtedly hot shit.
