Megan McKenna was physically restrained by TOWIE producers after launching a screaming attack on ex-boyfriend Pete Wicks on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old reality star was seen in a blazing rage on an Essex street as she confronted him amid claims he cheated on her with a mystery girl while also growing close to co-star Chloe Sims, while he claimed Megan slept with her ex.
It’s claimed ‘all hell broke loose’ when the couple came to blows on the street, in which Megan collapsed into tears before launching herself at her on-off boyfriend in scenes filmed for the ITVBe show.
Megan and Pete have been locked in a convoluted love story since she entered the structured reality programme in March last year, with their dramas captivating viewers following many bumps in the road.
The most shocking twist in their romance came last September when he was outed for ‘sexting’ his ex-girlfriend Jaqui Ryland, in which he sent messages stating he ‘wished he didn’t have a girlfriend’ – naturally to Megan’s chagrin.
After mending their relationship, he admitted the scandal was hanging over their heads as Megan admitted in a recent episode of TOWIE that she constantly thinks of the betrayal particularly when they argue.
In the latest twist in their tale, sources claimed during the row in the street Megan accused Pete of being unfaithful while staying in Scotland, presumably during his solo mini-break he took in January after a blazing row with Megan at the NTAs.
The street fight was a shocking scene, as the cameras rolled while Megan screamed in her ex-boyfriend’s face while wildly gesticulating and pointing in his face.
While the scenes were worthy of TOWIE’s spectacular drama, things appeared to get out of hand later on when the brunette beauty launched at Pete as he held his arm up in defence before Megan got extremely close to his face in a wild gesture.
The other woe said to be facing their relationship is claims he has ‘grown close’ to Chloe, after images emerged of the duo looking extremely close at London’s Mayfair Hotel last month.
Insiders told The Sun: ‘Megan called Pete on the photos and asked what’s going on. She said she was amazed Chloe didn’t try to reach out to explain that there’s nothing in it.
‘Pete defended Chloe and said nothing had happened and that she hadn’t done anything wrong, but Megan started screaming: “Why are you sticking up for her?”
‘Megan accused Pete of cheating on her and sleeping with a girl in Scotland and he threw it back in her face, saying: “I wasn’t cheating but I did text her, and it doesn’t matter because you’re sleeping with your ex!”‘

Megan’s temper has become prolific throughout her lengthy career in reality TV which has seen her appear on Ex On The Beach for two turns, CBB, an attempted bid for stardom in Britain’s Got Talent and X Factor while making her first TOWIE appearance in 2010 while auditioning for Jess Wright’s now-defunct group LOLA.
Megan was the fourth housemate to depart the 17th series of the fly-on-the-wall Channel 5 show and during her stint she received a formal warning from bosses over her aggressive behaviour.
