The Fappening is still happening. New pictures are released every weekend. The FBI and apple are still investigating this event. However, it’s not all dark and gloomy, some celebrities are actually getting some press due to this unfortunate event. We have compiled a list of celebs who are actually benefiting from the fappening. Checkout the list below:
1. Cat Deeley
There was a time when it was almost impossible to tune into British television and not be greeted by the grinning face of Cat Deeley. After gaining the presenter role on So You Can Think You Can Dance in the USA, Deeley’s career has appeared somewhat stagnant in comparison to her heyday in the early 00s.
Deeley was one of the more unexpected victims of the photo leak scandal, after a topless picture with her husband emerged. The image was relatively dignified in comparison to many of the other leaks, and many commentated that Deeley had nothing to be ashamed of. The scandal has also meant that Deeley has since been featured (positively) in a number of British media outlets.
2. Erin Cummings
Erin Cummings is another lesser-known actress that was a victim of the photo leak scandal. Cummings has had bit parts in a number of popular television series, including Star Trek: Enterprise, Charmed, Dollhouse and Nip/Tuck.
Cummings was cast in a lead role as Marge Slayton in The Astronaut Wives Club, which is set to air on ABC in Spring next year. The billing is hoped to be a movie role for the actress, who has not had much in the way of lead roles until now. One of Cummings’ most famous appearances was in the notoriously raunchy Spartacus: Blood and Sand, taking part in numerous nude sex scenes. Her unfortunate involvement in the recent scandal has the potential to give her the broader attention that the actress deserves.
3. Kirsten Dunst
For most of the late 90s and 00s, Kirsten Dunst was one of Hollywood’s hottest properties, appearing in some of the decade’s biggest blockbusters. Most notably, the actress had starring roles in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Marie Antoinette.
Ever since her critically acclaimed role in Lars von Trier’s Melancholia in 2011, Dunst has seemingly disappeared from the public eye. In the last three years, Dunst’s most notable appearance was a short cameo on Anchorman 2. For many people, Dunst’s leaked images in the photo leak scandal have served as a reminder of the star’s existence, following her years of relative obscurity.
4. Carly Foulkes
Carly Foulkes is a Canadian model and actress, best known for her appearances on a series of T-Mobile adverts. Foulkes has had a growing internet following based on her T-Mobile adverts, often being named an ‘internet sex symbol’. Foulkes has also had a successful modelling career, with appearances on the cover of the Mexican Elle magazine, as well as advertisements for Abercrombie & Fitch, Tommy Hilfiger and Macy’s.
With the photo leak scandal taking place entirely online, there has been greater interest in Foulkes’ leaked images than would normally be expected from someone best known for their roles in advertising. Considering Foulkes is best known by her nickname ‘The T-Mobile Girl’, it’s highly likely that the scandal has made many more people aware of her actual identity and name.
5. Kelly Brook
Kelly Brook is best known for her modelling career, although she’s had a number of cameos and minor roles in film and television. Most notably, she became famous in the UK during the early to mid 00s for her appearances in raunchy ‘lads mags’.
In recent years, Brooks hasn’t been in the limelight quite as much, axed after just one episode on Britain’s Got Talent. Her biggest recent movie role was as Danni Arslow in 2010’s Piranha 3D, and her television appearances have been limited to brief roles in single episodes on shows such Lemon La Vida Loca. In spite of her flagging showbiz career, Brook’s involvement as a victim in the photo leak scandal has once again put her in tabloid news headlines.
6. Aubrey Plaza
Aubrey Plaza is one of the major emerging stars of the last couple of years, making a name for herself with comedic roles in films like Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Funny People, as well as the part of April Ludgate in Parks and Recreation. Plaza was one of the highest profile victims of the photo scandal, after several images and a video were leaked.
Plaza has never been one to show much in the way of shyness, although her leaked files were even more personal than many others in the collection. She’s been one of the key names listed in articles covering the scandal, which has come around right at the time that she’s been breaking into the mainstream with her lead casting in the upcoming Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever.
