Amber Alert Canceled After Girl Found Safe

An Amber Alert issued for a child who went missing last week in Virginia has been cancelled.

Police tell Action News 4-year-old Annabelle Doretha Hope Richardson is safe after her father, 24-year-old Dylan James Richardson, turned himself in to authorities early Tuesday morning in Monroe Township, N. J.

The child was with him when he turned himself in.

The Amber Alert issued Monday night by authorities in Virginia was cancelled at 6:11 a.m. Tuesday.

An Amber Alert has been canceled for 4-year-old Annabelle Doretha Hope Richardson of Charlotte County, Virginia.

Just after 6 a.m. Tuesday, Virginia State Police said both Annabelle and her captor/biological father had been found.

Details about Annabelle’s recovery have not yet been released.

Annabelle was believed to be in danger and previously was last seen at 400 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte County.

State Police believed she was abducted by her 24-year-old biological father Dylan James Richardson.

Investigators thought Richardson might be traveling in a 1995 burgundy Chevy Van with the Virginia license plate, VMG2332. Investigators said they believed he could be traveling north toward New Jersey.

Again, Virginia State Police announced Tuesday that they have found both Annabelle and Dylan Richardson.
