Nimbus™ designed by Eduardo Galvani, is a concept e-car made for short trips in urban streets as well as distant locations in long roads. Its hybrid engine and energy consumption system provides greater driving range and energy saving than the all-electric cars.
Nimbus™ has a 130Kw (180hp) electrical engine lithium-ion battery powered which works parallel to a combustion micro generator for constant charging its batteries. Its structure is built with very strong and light materials, as carbon-fiber, titanium and aluminium, which optimizes its energy consumption (1.30 L/100 km ).
Part of its top careen is covered with sun cells, allowing Nimbus™ to auto generate some of its energy, and its regenerative brake mechanism makes Nimbus™ able to recovery and save kinetic energy.
The Nimbus™ has 4 selectable driving modes to improve the range and energy consumption, depending on the situation: Energy Saver, Standard Trip, Faster Cruise and 4WD.
The adjustable Hidraulic Steering Wheel, combined with the high and adjustable seats, allows a very comfortable position while driving.
For a better experience on parking, Nimbus™ is equipped with sensors for Obstacle Detection (Distance Warning) and a Back Camera which works as a Digital Mirror on its panel’s Central Display.
Nimbus™ has a single touch power button for start/end the engine, also Auto-Pilot technology for cruise control, and a Gearless Automatic Velocity System with Hill Descent Control and no delay in developing torque, granting optimized energy use and very smooth acceleration and braking.
Nimbus™ has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, 4 USB connectors (2 for frontal and 2 for back seats) for media browser and gadget recharger and 1 conventional 12V power connector.
It has Self-Cleaning Surfaces, for less water use, and Anti-theft System, with Remote Power Blocker and Location Detection.
