Kate Bush Premieres Before the Dawn Disc 2: Listen

Excitement is building for the release of Kate Bush’s new live album, and the elusive singer-songwriter has unveiled a new music video to coincide with her latest project.

Kate’s first live album for 22 years, Before The Dawn will be available this coming Friday (November 25), and the official single And Dream Of Sheep now has an accompanying video. The visual sees Kate stranded in the ocean wearing a life jacket, singing until she submerges into the water.

The video is the latest piece of promotion for her new album and follows her first interview in five years on BBC Radio 6 Music, an hour long chat that aired last night.

And Dream Of Sheep originally featured as an album track that opened the second half of Kate’s classic 1985 album Hounds of Love, an album that peaked at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart. Hounds of Love was the last studio album of Kate’s to hit the top spot.

Kate’s upcoming live album Before The Dawn uses recordings from her Eventim Apollo residence of the same name, a 22-date stint that took place through August – October 2014. Audio utilised is taken from when the show was filmed on September 16 and 17 of the residency’s tenure.

Kate is the only female artist to have achieved a Top 3 album in consecutive decades since the 70s, but has not scored a Number 1 album in 30 years. Can Before The Dawn achieve that elusive goal?
