County Durham X Factor singer Sam Lavery says her biggest dream is to perform at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle. Not only will she be doing this, she’s on the same bill as global superstar John Legend.
The North East’s biggest pop gig will arrive at the arena in Newcastle on December 16.
Metro Radio’s Christmas Live will feature some other North East names too. 2012 X Factor winner James Arthur will be back in the region to perform alongside Sam Lavery and two local unsigned competition winners.
Multiple Grammy Award winner, John Legend, will be flying in from Ohio to deliver his modern classics like ‘All of me’.
“This is a great coup for us securing John Legend. There can’t be any event like this up here in the North East where you can see so many top performers all in one night. We’re still working on one more big name which we hope to announce next week. Having Olly Murs opening the show will get things off to a great start. We’re encouraging everyone to get down as early as possible and enjoy our warm up acts and be ready for this big opener from Olly.”
The line-up so far includes:
Olly Murs, one of British music’s biggest stars, has announced his 5th album ‘24 HRS’ out November 11th on RCA.
Dua Lipa, just 19 years old when she found fame.
Warming up the crowd on the night are the regional winners of The Big Audition, Craig Roddam from Durham and Danielle Brown from Newcastle.
