Apple will be holding another event on October 16th. It’s widely believed that it will be the official unveiling of Apple’s next-generation iPad , but guess what? we may have just gotten a sneak preview.
A Vietnamese blog claims to have released pictures of the new iPad Air 2. While the device’s authenticity cannot be confirmed, its features line up with previous rumors.
The images show a device with a design similar to Apple’s current iPad Air, and one that has adopted features from the iPhone 6. With a reported depth of 7 millimeters, it is just as thin as the newest iPhones. It also bears the fingerprint sensor Touch ID home button. The volume buttons are now embedded in the device, and the mute button has been removed. The blog that leaked the images speculates this move was necessary to keep the iPad so thin.
The blogger also wrote that the device wouldn’t turn on. This means that rumors about its internals are still unconfirmed and details of the user experience have yet to be seen.
The next iPad is expected to come with a new processor, a better camera and a gigabyte of more memory. It will also come in a gold color.
