Two decades ago today, Sabrina the Teenage Witch first hit our TV screens and now Melissa Joan Hart is reprising her iconic role – on Instagram!
Hart played Sabrina Spellman, a teenage witch, for seven seasons, and 20 years later she still knows how to cast a spell or two. In fact, the 40-year-old actress proved that she can still channel her inner- Sabrina when she wants to and her magic finger flip still works!
“Ice cream anyone?” Hart asks in the video, before waving her right hand and having an ice cream sandwich magically appear. “It looks like I’ve still got it!”

In the caption to the video, which was made with the help of Nutrisystem, Hart reiterated that she’s still “got it” 20 years later — and we couldn’t agree more.
We almost forgot how much Sabrina loved to use her magic for food — usually it was to make pancakes, but ice cream works, too!
Hart wasn’t the only star from the hit witch series to commemorate how long its been since the premiere. Beth Broderick, who played Aunt Zelda on the series, reposted a photo of the Spellman family on Twitter writing, “Wow. 20 years.”
Nell Scovell, who created the wonderful witchy show, gave a shout out to her creation on Twitter as well.
“It was 20 years ago today. Witches fly… and so does time,” Scovell tweeted alongside an article about Sabrina’s influence on ’90s TV from The Guardian.
Mean girl, Libby Chessler, might not have been your favorite on the show, but Jenna Leigh Green, who played the high school meanie still has a special place for Sabrina in her heart.
“20 years ago today, America watched @melissajoanhart turn me into a pineapple, and my life was forever changed! Where did the time go!?,” Green captioned a cute collage from the show.
Added Green: “Cannot express my gratitude for the show that allowed me to grow up while living out my wildest dreams. Libby Chessler truly was, the original Mean Girl!”

Now all we need is a full-cast reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, with maybe a Salem character spinoff, and all would be right in the world!
