Susan Sarandon has caused controversy by stating why he is not voting for Hillary Clinton, even though this would avoid a presidency of Donald Trump.
The actor said that no “vote with her vagina” and instead would vote for the Green candidate in the US elections, Jill Stein.
Sarandon, 70, said he will not vote for Clinton or Trump because he believes it is important that candidates from third reach 5 percent.
She explained she is not against having a woman candidate, despite having been a vocal Bernie Sanders supporter, telling BBCNewsnight: “I want the right woman. There are great women that I admire that have headed nations.”
The actor continued: “You’ve had a woman, I don’t know how you felt about that but I don’t vote with my vagina you know?
“This is bigger than that and I don’t want to spend a lot of time talking about Trump and Hillary because that’s not why I’m here. This is bigger than who wins this election.”
On the way to @kering_official #womeninmotion dinner earlier tonight! Home tomorrow.

Interviewer Evan Davis asked her whether it was not “indulgent” to decline to vote for either of the two main candidates.
She responded that she does not want to vote for the “lesser of two evils” and wants to end the two-party system.
Sarandon also claimed Hillary Clinton is going to win because she has the support of “neoconservatives”, the press and the networks.
The actor said: “I am worried about the wars, I am worried about Syria, I am worried about all of these things that actually exist. I’m worried about fracking.
“I’m worrying about the environment. No matter who gets in they don’t address these things because money has taken over our system.”
