Have you ever wondered they kinds of foods soldiers eat when they go to war? Remember they don’t have the luxury of a fully-stocked fridge and kitchen, So how do they survive? They have what’s called MRE packs. Every soldier is familiar with MRE’s, or meals-ready-to-eat.

They are boxed meals that can be heated with a chemical solution, and have an extremely long shelf life with no refrigeration required. As almost no civilians have tasted the food, BuzzFeed acquired a couple MRE’s and had their staff try some. Watch the video below to see reactions.
