Ashley Zehnder, 24, is a biology teacher and assistant cheerleading coach at Pasadena High School in Texas. Or at least she was, until she resigned on October 9th after she was accused of having an affair with a 17-year-old student. She got caught after initially telling school authorities that a naked picture of hers was being shared among students, which is true. Thing is, it looks like she’s the one who sent it.
According to the student, Zehnder was the assistant cheer coach at the school and he was a member of the school’s competition cheer squad. He told officers with the district’s police department that the relationship began when he lost his cellphone and used the teacher’s phone to locate his. He saved Zehnder’s phone numbers and they began texting.
According to court documents, Zehnder eventually sent him a nude photo via the social media app SnapChat. The student saved the picture on his phone and later distributed it to a handful of friends at the school. (Via)
Zehnder and the student, a member of her cheer squad, were allegedly together from May to August 2014, and they had “sex…all summer long.” Zehnder has been charged with an improper relationship with a student, a second-degree felony charge. She’s currently out of jail after posting a $10,000 bond.
