Late Saturday evening, the rapper officially joined the social platform and posted his first image on Sunday morning.
His presence on the photo-sharing network comes months after tweeting that he might join — but only on his conditions. “I was thinking about getting an Instagram but only on one condition,” he wrote in March. “No one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram… It’s my art.”
Of course, West is no stranger to social media. Over the past year alone, he’s made headlines with various rants about his fashion, would-be collaborators (ahem, Taylor Swift) and the state of his finances. Meanwhile, his wife, Kim Kardashian, and her sisters are among the most followed and buzzed about users on Instagram. Kardashian even published a book, Selfish, collecting some of her most notable images posted to the site.

While West follows one person — his wife — on Twitter, he has yet to follow any other accounts on Instagram.
So, what’s to come of West’s Instagram account? Only time will tell.
