
Maine State Police and Biddeford Police are investigating the shooting death of a man early Monday morning.

The victim is identified as Jonathan Methot, a resident of a duplex apartment at 68-70 West Cutts St., according to a statement from Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Detectives are at the scene and the state Medical Examiner’s Office and Attorney General’s Office have been notified.
West Cutts Street is a dead-end road just off of Main Street near the Saco River and the downtown area.
A team of detectives are investigating the circumstances of the death.
The state medical examiner has been notified as has the attorney general’s office.
